Santosh Akhauri

Expert Impact Evaluation and Data Science

Mr. Santosh Akhauri is a seasoned impact evaluation and data science professional with over two decades of experience spanning public health, education, nutrition, livelihoods, and climate resilience programs in India. With a strong foundation in both quantitative and qualitative research, he specializes in designing and implementing robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems that assess program effectiveness, generate actionable insights, and inform policy and practice.

Mr. Akhauri holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) and a Master’s in Population Sciences (MPS) from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai.

He has led large-scale baseline, midline, and endline assessments; experimental and quasi-experimental studies; randomized controlled trials (RCTs); and mixed-method evaluations for government agencies, multilateral organizations, and civil society partners. He brings deep expertise in survey design, data quality assurance, statistical analysis, and data visualization, leveraging advanced analytical and data science tools. His work focuses on translating complex datasets into clear, decision-ready insights that strengthen program performance and support the scaling of evidence-based interventions.

In addition to his technical leadership, Mr. Akhauri has extensive experience in capacity building and mentoring teams to institutionalize data-driven decision-making and adaptive management systems.
