Employability Skills

Union Budget 2026–27 has emphasized the need to enhance skills and employability to prepare India’s workforce for future jobs. Key initiatives include the creation of a high-powered Education-to-Employment Committee to align education, vocational training, and industry requirements, along with assessing the impact of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies on employment. The budget also proposes the development of career pathways in allied health, Artificial Intelligence, and digital technologies, complemented by creator labs in 15,000 schools to foster practical and creative skills. These measures aim to strengthen workforce readiness, bridge skill gaps, and ensure that youth are employable in emerging and evolving sectors. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted that this approach will strategically link education with industry demand, fostering a future-ready, competitive, and adaptable workforce capable of thriving in a rapidly changing job market. #Employability Skills. #Budget2026-27
